Our Artists

Myllicent Felder

Myllicent’s art is inspired by her deep love of, and interest in, birds and nature. She dabbles in collage, embroidery, and weaving, while running a full-time, nature-based childcare program, Sidney Ridge Nature Playschool in Pittstown, New Jersey. Eager to share her knowledge and build community, Myllicent started creating zines as a way to make nature and birding more accessible to people of all abilities, identities, etc. She often hands them out at the bird walks and bird sits that she hosts through FlemingtonDIY, a volunteer-run community arts space. Her zines can be found in the archives at the Academy of Natural Sciences at Drexel University. Wanna talk birds, mushrooms, cool bugs, early childhood ed, emo music, anti-capitalism, or building conscious community? Reach out!

Joseph couldn’t commit to a singular creative discipline if his life depended on it. His current fixations include zines, needle felted oddities, ceramics, unhinged vector art, buttons, and laser-cut jewelry. Reach out to him at sick.email.bud@gmail.com for graphic design commissions, concerns, complaints, words of affirmation, unserious tarot readings, or help making a silly list.

Lauren Young

Lauren Young is a poet, public school teacher, and prolific dabbler. Activities that never fail to light her fire: building community, dismantling systems that no longer serve humans, making vegetarian meals for loved ones. She doesn’t check or post on social media anymore, but you can watch videos of her reading poems over videos @lucipamplemousse on Instagram. In the end, she just wants us all to tell our inner critic to take a break and let us make art of any ilk that feels good: Great Joy Collective is alllll about that. Reach out at lucipamplemoussewrite@gmail.com to discuss any of the above, especially Great Joy Co. or the beauty of New Jersey beaches.

Virginia Storm

I’m Virginia Storm (of virginia-storm.com) and, at the risk of sounding cheesy, I just love being alive. I am a visual artist and musician who teaches at my local library and middlesex college sometimes. But otherwise I am usually looking for a pretty place to read a book. I love meeting people and learning anything they have to teach. I hope this website serves as a way for you to find connection and community.
